Dyskans Onan
Each lesson begins with a reading passage in Kernewek (Cornish) along with a gerva (vocabulary) for that lesson.

Open the vocabulary in a new window and print for easy reference

Reading passage
Study the passage below and the gerva. Don't attempt a written translation yet, but do try to work out the meaning. (The superscript numbers will be explained later.)

Using the course audio cassette, you can listen to and practice speaking the material in each lesson.

Listen to the passage two or three times, following the text, and practise reading it aloud yourself.

If you were taking the complete course, you would copy the vocabulary into your own book at this point.

Now attempt a written translation of the passage.

Open the passage (along with questions and exercises you will need later in the lesson) in a new window and print for easy reference.
